High specification all weather insulated, waterproof and breathable jacket, suitable for winter sports as well as general UK winter use. The jacket is full of practical features such as the detachable snow skirt and reflective detailing, as well as trendy features such as cable loops for headphones.

Outer: 320D fine Taslon with GUY-TEX 2 layer lamination and Dupont® Teflon® PU Coating. Inner: 3M Thinsulate Insulation to body and sleeves, with thermal resistance of G100: the original "warmth without bulk" product. Lining: PolarTherm Techmesh, producing excellent air permeability, high quality moisture management and body heat retention. Waterproof (2,000mm). Breathable (3,000mm). Windproof. Soil resistant. Reinforced taped seams. Fashionable shaped longer back panel. Detachable fully adjustable hood with velcro closing chin guard. Full front zip fastening with velcro storm flap. 2 x zip closing waterproof side pockets, 1 sleeve pocket, 1 chest pocket, 1 inside pocket with ski pass pocket and 1 inside large mesh pocket. D-ring. What standard of waterproofing do I need?
All garments that state that they are waterproof have had to meet the British Standard to be able to declare this. This means that the fabric is to a recognised standard of waterproofing and all seams have been tape sealed to ensure that water cannot get through the seams.

There are then two main standards for waterproof garments - those that are breathable and those that are not. You really need a breathable jacket if you are going to wear it for regular, active use - anything from mountain walking through to walking to school, although the padded lining in some garments that are waterproof but not breathable will help to wick away sweat from the body. This has been reinforced by positive customer feedback on this type of garment.

Non-breathable garments without a padded lining are perfect as a stand-by waterproof for 'just in case' situations, such as on the beach or in the back garden or playground. There is one exception - the Togz cape, which is not breathable but circulates plenty of fresh air anyway because of its' design.
