Playgroups to Scout and skiing trips
We have been pleased to supply larger groups with their clothing and equipment needs, which are as diverse as a school bird watching club seeking binoculars, through to Zoobookoos as Christmas presents for a playgroup, walking boots for school trips, sleeping bags and backpacks for scout groups and lifejackets for small commercial operators. School skiing groups can be pleasantly surprised at how the prices compare with rental gear.

Adult Sizes - from engineering students needing protection against mozzies.........
We have also supplied adult sizes, including for 22 students at Oxford Brookes University, who needed specialized clothing which was not only UV protective, but also repelled mozzies when they were competing in performance race car engineering competitions in the UK, Germany and the States. A tall order, which we could fulfil, of course.

........to over 40 adults going to freezing Arctic conditions
Our largest and most unusual contract has been to supply 43 adults with every item of outdoor clothing and equipment needed for a winter trip to inside the Arctic Circle. They had to be prepared for temperatures down to minus 40°C. This was a major logistical exercise for Young Explorers because, whilst the 7 leaders knew the destination, the 36 other participants did not know where in the world they were going, whether hot or cold climate. And their gear had to be put together in a very tight timescale. We worked with names and clothing sizes only, plus whether or not they wore contact lenses, as this affected the type of ski goggle we supplied, in case they resorted to their glasses.

We supplied over 1,500 pieces of kit. Clothing was to be of identical colour within each of the three sub-groups, and of the highest quality. It was as diverse as thermals, down filled jackets, sleeping bags, snowboots, bothy bags, ski goggles, headtorches, spare batteries and the kit bags themselves. As the freezing temperatures could be life-threatening, all garments were named, just as for children on a school trip, to ensure that the users had the right size of garment working to the highest technical ability. All bags were packed by us for each participant, as they were not to know their destination until arrival. We are proud to say that the customer was very satisfied, that each item worked well for purpose and the clothing was a good fit for each person, except for one lady who wasn't quite truthful about her size, and ended up wearing the 'uniform' of a larger-built instructor ...
